Professor Potty the brilliant magician and his dog Dexter visited us yesterday. Wands up noses, magical glasses, an assistant with a magic hat who made sweets out of toothpaste … lots of fun!
This special end of term treat was made possible because of the voluntary contributions we receive, thank you 😊

Brilliant visit from Ken from Zoo lab who brought some amazing creepy crawlies to meet us!

Gary the Cockroach, he eats absolutely anything, even poo! He’s a Super hero and has really cool powers. He has three brains (belly, head, bottom), he can run through fire.

Pepe the frog tree frog from Australia. He lives in the Rainforest and jumps very high . He can change colours! When he’s cold, he turns purple, at night time he goes blue and when he gets warm he turns green. He eats insects like grasshoppers and crickets. Pepe uses his sticky tongue to catch his food. He lives high in the trees.

Samantha the Millipede has more legs than anything else in the whole world. When she grows to her full size, she’ll have about 400 legs and be the size of a ruler. She’s from the Congo and likes eating rotten wood.

Flash the Giant African land Snail comes from Ghana. At full size he will be the same size as a rugby ball! He has magic slime that some people use for their wrinkles!! He lives in the Rainforest and eats fruits and vegetables. He has about 14,000 teeth!

Legsley the curly haired Tarantula is from Costa Rica and the Amazon rainforest. He makes special webs and can camouflage himself in the forest floor where he lives. Girl tarantulas eat the boys! They like to dig and eat grasshoppers and crickets.

Ekans the corn snake lives in North America. He eats a mouse once a week. He can open his jaws in two ways - up and down as well as side to side. He sheds his skin every two months to clean himself and to grow.

Wow we learnt a lot!

Some very brave children today - well done!

We extended the visit into other activities throughout the day too.

Thank you to those who supported our raffle recently - some of the money we raised contributed to making today’s very special activity possible.

Thank you ZooLab

Brilliant first half term of the summer with lots of lovely times outside in the sun! We created bees with honeycomb, we used forks to make beautiful vases of flowers, sponge painting butterflies and snails and learnt about the life cycle of the butterfly.
Outside play included lots of opportunities to develop our gross motor skills with ribbon play, obstacle courses and hopscotch.
We look forward to lots more lovely weather so we can practice for our sports day!
Term ends Thursday 16th July with our leavers presentation on Friday 17th July for those children moving onto big school only 😊

What a busy half term we have had!

From still life daffodils to fork painting flower pots, long legged chickens and decorating eggs, to pop up rabbits and Easter crispy cakes! We’ve looked at shapes inside and outside and even had a special visitor!

Have a lovely Easter break. We look forward to seeing you all back in the sunshine on Monday 13th April 😊
