🌟 Summer School 2026 – More Day 2 Highlights! 🌟

Our future Year 7 students have continued to throw themselves into every opportunity today, and it’s been wonderful to see so many smiling faces around the school! 😊

From enjoying time together at breaktime, to testing their skills with badminton, unleashing their creativity through rocket making and art, and tackling a fun Geography “Find the Word” challenge, there has been something for everyone.

These activities are about so much more than just having fun. They’re helping our new students to:
💙 Build new friendships.
💛 Grow in confidence.
💙 Discover new interests and talents.
💛 Get to know our staff and school environment.
💙 Feel excited and ready for the move to secondary school.

The atmosphere around school has been fantastic, with students already demonstrating the kindness, enthusiasm and teamwork that make our school community so special.

We are incredibly proud of how well our new Year 7s have embraced every challenge and opportunity. September is going to be an exciting start to the next chapter of their education, and we can’t wait to welcome them back!

🐍🦉 Summer School 2026 – Day 2! 🐢🦔

Day 2 of our Summer School has been another fantastic success, and it has been wonderful to see almost our entire new Year 7 cohort joining us ahead of September!

Summer School is such an important part of the transition to secondary school. Over the course of the week, students are making new friends, getting to know their teachers, becoming familiar with the school site, and beginning to feel part of the De La Salle family. By the time September arrives, they’ll already have the confidence that comes from recognising faces, knowing their way around, and feeling that they truly belong.

Today has been especially exciting as our students have been getting up close and hands-on with the amazing animals from a mobile zoo! From fascinating reptiles to furry friends and everything in between, there have been plenty of smiles, curiosity and memorable moments as students learned about different species and even had the chance to handle some incredible animals.

It has been a joy to see our newest students embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm, kindness and courage. We can’t wait to welcome them officially in September, but for now we’re enjoying every minute of an outstanding Summer School.
