Today, was the last day of the term and the last day of the year at Little Explorers. Which also means, it was the last day for some of our children who are moving onto school nurseries and new settings and for our big ones starting Reception in September!😭✏️📚

We are SO proud of you all. We are proud of how kind, funny, well mannered and what wonderful children you all are. We are going to miss you all so much, but we will always always be here if you need us❤️.

To all your Mummies, Daddies, and grown ups. Thankyou for letting us have them, thankyou for trusting us. Thankyou for letting us be just a small part of the big journey they’re about to embark on. It’s been nothing short of a pleasure.

🎉PARTY DAY🎉

Thursday 16th July is our party day!🥳

The party will be from 9:15 - 11:15⏰.

We are CLOSED for any other pre-school sessions. If your child does not attend on a Thursday, we would love for them to join us on Thursday for our party!

At 11:15, the returning children will leave as usual and then we will clap out our leavers as we celebrate them taking the next step of their big adventure. (Bring tissues!!😂😭) 🎓❤️.

☀️It’s going to be a hot one this week!☀️

In the shaded early mornings, we will still be accessing the garden whilst it is cool and safe enough to do so and for limited intervals. Sun hats are provided to the children whilst they are at preschool!

ALL children must come into pre-school with suncream already applied.

Children have access to fresh, cold water throughout their entire session, and they will be encouraged to drink regularly💧.

Please ensure the children have the following things in preschool with them this week to help us keep them comfortable and safe in the warm weather!

☀️ Labelled suncream so children that attend all day can have it reapplied if needed,
☀️ Weather appropriate changes of clothes in the children’s bags as we will have water play in abundance!💦💦

Yesterday the FAB team from Eden Oasis - Animal Experiences came to visit us again with their animal friends! The children loved it, they behaved wonderfully and as always, the team from Eden were the kindest, most inclusive, understanding people you could ever hope to welcome into a pre-school like ours!

Today was a very special day at preschool! Not only was it our first day back at preschool after the half term, but our caterpillars had turned into beautiful butterflies and were ready to be released after our Nik looked after them for the children over the half term. We shared a story, released our five beautiful butterflies and then had a very special picnic to celebrate ‘International Children’s Day!’

Children’s day is celebrated on the 1st June every year by many European countries to celebrate the rights and lives of children around the World. It is often celebrated by sharing treats, gifts and creating different crafts. We shared a snack time picnic together in the sunshine in the pre-school garden!

Last week, we had some visitors come in to pre-school! 5 little caterpillars!🐛.

The children have loved watching the progress of the Caterpillars life cycle this week, from tiny babies into almost chrysalis’.

And after an update from our Nik, who is looking after the little ones over half term, all 5 of our Caterpillars have now become chrysalis and will turn into beautiful butterflies over the next couple of days!
