What an incredible afternoon celebrating our very first Second Steps Awards!
Our teams came together for an inspiring day filled with guest speakers, uplifting talks, time to connect with other settings, and a chance to reflect on the amazing journey we have taken so far.
We are so proud of the passion, dedication, and heart our practitioners bring to children every single day. The event was all about honouring that hard work and looking ahead to the exciting future we’re building together.

Last week, we hosted our first Apprentice Workshop at the new Hatfield Peverel setting. With advice, expertise and support talks from our experienced managers and leadership, the new cohort were taken through a practical and engaging day. Along with a visit from our assessors, VTS, vital information about training, practice and development was provided, along with some fun tasks such as making play dough from scratch!
We wish you all the best of luck during your first chapter of your career with us. ⭐

We are so excited to introduce our new Nursery Manager, Jamie, to the Second Steps family.

“ I am delighted to introduce myself as your new Nursery Manager. It is a privilege to be joining the nursery and have the opportunity to support your children during these important first years.
I have worked in Early Years for 22 years and have been a nursery manager for 18. I have a strong passion for early childhood education and I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can thrive.
