What if the thing your daughter calls a “hobby” could become a career?
Maybe she’s always doing her friends’ make-up.
Maybe she’s interested in skincare.
Maybe she’s constantly talking about beauty, salons or becoming a beauty therapist when she’s older.
And you’ve probably thought:
“She’s only 14… is there actually anything she can do yet?”
There is.
Our ProQual Level 1 Introduction to Beauty Therapy is designed for young learners aged 14–16 who are interested in exploring the beauty industry.
It gives them the opportunity to start learning about the industry properly, whilst finding out whether beauty is something they’d genuinely like to pursue.
During the qualification, they’ll cover:
• Introduction to working in a beauty salon
• Client consultation
• Anatomy & physiology for beauty professionals
• Manicure services
• Facial skincare services
• Make-up services
• The front of house role in a salon
They’ll also complete 7 assignments and 16 practical assessments, giving them plenty of opportunity to put their learning into practice.
The course is 3 hours per week, with small group classes, and is particularly suitable for home-schooled learners or those who are able to have day release from school.
And I think that’s the lovely thing about starting at this stage.
They don't have to know exactly what they want to do for the rest of their life.
They can simply explore something they already enjoy, learn new skills and see where it could take them.
If your daughter has been saying “I want to work in beauty when I’m older”, this could be a lovely place to start.
