What if the thing your daughter calls a “hobby” could become a career?

Maybe she’s always doing her friends’ make-up.

Maybe she’s interested in skincare.

Maybe she’s constantly talking about beauty, salons or becoming a beauty therapist when she’s older.

And you’ve probably thought:

“She’s only 14… is there actually anything she can do yet?”

There is.

Our ProQual Level 1 Introduction to Beauty Therapy is designed for young learners aged 14–16 who are interested in exploring the beauty industry.

It gives them the opportunity to start learning about the industry properly, whilst finding out whether beauty is something they’d genuinely like to pursue.

During the qualification, they’ll cover:

• Introduction to working in a beauty salon
• Client consultation
• Anatomy & physiology for beauty professionals
• Manicure services
• Facial skincare services
• Make-up services
• The front of house role in a salon

They’ll also complete 7 assignments and 16 practical assessments, giving them plenty of opportunity to put their learning into practice.

The course is 3 hours per week, with small group classes, and is particularly suitable for home-schooled learners or those who are able to have day release from school.

And I think that’s the lovely thing about starting at this stage.

They don't have to know exactly what they want to do for the rest of their life.

They can simply explore something they already enjoy, learn new skills and see where it could take them.

If your daughter has been saying “I want to work in beauty when I’m older”, this could be a lovely place to start.

If you’d like the full course details, comment “LEVEL 1” below or send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

You don't always need another course.

Sometimes you just need a little more confidence in what you already know.

Maybe you need more practice.
Maybe a refresher.
Maybe someone to answer the questions you didn't think to ask at the time.

And that's completely normal.

Your certificate is the start of your learning, not the end of it. 🤍

She didn’t stop at one qualification. 🤍

When Sharna first came to Fakealicious in May 2024, she completed her online manicure and pedicure training.

But she didn't stop there.

In September that same year, she enrolled onto her Level 6 Aesthetic Practice, whilst also completing online lash lift and brow lamination training.

She went on to complete her Level 6 in 2026, alongside working three jobs.

And she's still learning.

She's now completing her Level 7 Aesthetic Practice in Botox and fillers.

And just this month, she trained in CPD Lymphatic Drainage and Ear Irrigation because she wanted to bring more holistic and wellbeing treatments into what she offers her clients.

That's what we love about Sharna's journey.

It's not about collecting qualifications for the sake of having another certificate.

She's continually looking at:

What can I learn next?
What would benefit my clients?
How can I keep developing?

And honestly, whilst working three jobs alongside all of this, she really does give everything her all.

We're so proud of how far she's come. 🤍

If you're currently thinking about what your next step in training should be, don't feel like you have to figure it all out at once.

Sometimes it's simply about choosing the next right step.

What's the next skill or treatment you'd love to add to your own journey?

👇 Tell us below.

Pay cheap, pay twice.

If you’re paying £999 for 20 certificates in aesthetics in 2 days you’re paying twice lovely.

Luckily our students can vouch that we don’t train like this video & our after support is top notch 🤌🏼

*disclaimer this is just for fun 🤣

I think we can all be guilty of comparing ourselves to what we see on social media.

You see another practitioner fully booked, adding new treatments and sharing their latest course, and it can make you feel like you should be doing more too.

But remember, you’re only seeing a small part of someone else’s journey.

You don’t see the years of work behind it, the quiet weeks, the mistakes or all the things they had to learn along the way.

And there really is no point rushing into your next course or treatment just because someone else is doing it.

Take a step back and think about what you actually want from your career and what would genuinely benefit you next.

There’s nothing wrong with taking your time and doing things properly.

What’s one thing you’ve seen another practitioner doing that made you feel like you should be doing more?

Choosing cheap training? That decision is costing you more than you realise.

Let’s be honest.

The problem in aesthetics isn’t lack of ambition.

It’s lack of proper education.

Too many practitioners learn a technique,
memorise a pattern,
copy what they’ve seen online.

But when a real client sits in front of them?

Different anatomy.
Different history.
Different risks.

And suddenly confidence disappears.

You say you want to move into injectables because you’re tired of:
• low-ticket treatments
• inconsistent income
• being seen as “just” a beauty therapist

You want:
✔ higher income
✔ professional credibility
✔ clients who trust your expertise

But here’s what’s actually holding you back.

You’re choosing training based on:
• price
• popularity
• how it looks online

Not:
• qualification pathway
• insurability
• long-term credibility

And that decision?

It will cost you far more than the course ever would.

Aesthetics isn’t about injecting.

It’s about:
• assessment
• anatomy
• clinical judgement
• knowing when NOT to treat

At Fakealicious, we don’t offer fast-track trends.

We deliver structured, insurable training from Level 2 through to Level 7.

Small cohorts.
Hands-on learning.
Ongoing support.

Because this isn’t about quick wins.
It’s about building a real career.

Microneedling or Dermaplaning? Which one actually belongs in your clinic?

If you’re looking to expand your skincare menu, it’s tempting to choose the treatment that looks easiest to learn.

But that’s not necessarily the best way to choose your next training.

Microneedling and dermaplaning can offer very different things to your clients and your business.

Microneedling requires a strong understanding of skin, client suitability, treatment planning and aftercare.

Dermaplaning might look simple on social media, but safe, professional treatment still requires the right technique, consultation and understanding of contraindications.

So before choosing your next course, ask yourself:

→ What are my clients actually asking for?
→ Which skin concerns do I want to work with?
→ Does this treatment complement my existing services?
→ Do I understand the theory behind the treatment, not just the technique?

Because good training isn’t just about learning how to perform a treatment.

It’s about understanding why, when and for whom you should perform it.

That’s exactly how we approach training at Fakealicious.

Our next Microneedling & Dermaplaning Training is 26th August.

If you’d like the full course information, comment SKIN below and we’ll send it over.

❌Training academies are nominating themselves to win awards (or get their friends to vote for them 😬)

The inside click is real & nobody talks about it!

Let’s all wake up and smell the MARKETING!! Don’t be sold a dream - half of them are lying!

Does your teenager have a genuine interest in beauty?

Maybe they’re always watching beauty tutorials, practising on family and friends, experimenting with hair and makeup, or already talking about becoming a beauty therapist one day.

At some point, many parents start wondering:

“Is there a way for them to explore that interest properly?”

They don’t necessarily need to jump straight into advanced training.

Sometimes, starting with the fundamentals is the best place to begin.

A Level 1 beauty qualification can give young people the opportunity to develop practical skills, learn about professionalism and client care, build confidence and get a feel for what working in the beauty industry is actually like.

And honestly, seeing a teenager become more confident because they’ve learnt something they genuinely enjoy is one of the loveliest parts of what we do.

We’ve had parents tell us how proud they are to see their daughters achieve their Level 1 at such a young age.

If you have a teenager who is passionate about beauty, what age do you think is a good time to start exploring it professionally?

I’d love to hear what other parents think.

The lip flip mistake most injectors don't know they're making.

It's not about where you inject. It's about why.

Most practitioners learn a technique and repeat it on every client. Same points. Same depth. Same outcome.

But lips aren't one-size-fits-all and neither is a lip flip.

Before you pick up your syringe, you should be asking:
Why this injection point for this face?
How will it affect their lip movement?
What result will it actually create?
What will their lip look like in 6 weeks?

The practitioners getting the most consistent, natural results aren't following trends. They're following anatomy.

In this video I'm breaking down my personal markup approach for a lip flip not because it's the only way, but because understanding the reasoning behind it will make you better at every technique you use.

There's no copy-paste method in advanced aesthetics.
There's only: consult, assess, individualise.

Save this before your next lip flip client
