Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast, the Basildon Miniature Railway will not be running on Thursday 13 August.

The Bounce and play inflatable fun park is still expected to open as normal. However, the team will continue to monitor weather conditions and may need to close if required for health and safety reasons.

🚫 IMPORTANT NOTICE: BBQs ARE NOT PERMITTED AT WAT TYLER COUNTRY PARK 🚫

Please be reminded that BBQs are not permitted anywhere within Wat Tyler Country Park at any time of the year.

It is particularly important that this Byelaw is observed during the current dry weather and drought conditions, when the risk of fire is significantly increased.

Yesterday, we were alerted to a BBQ being used in the park which could very easily have resulted in a serious grass fire.

If you see anyone using a BBQ within the park, please report it immediately to the Wat Tyler Centre on 01268 208090.

Thank you for helping us protect the park, its wildlife, and all visitors.
