5kg down in 6 weeks. Didn’t change a thing on purpose.
Firstly — this isn’t medical advice, and it’s not about doing it the cookie-cutter way.
Meds dropped my appetite so much some days I’m eating one meal and a few snacks. That’s not a flex — it’s something I’m watching closely with my prescriber, because losing weight too fast on these meds isn’t always a good thing.
But here’s what I’m not going to do: tell you the answer is eating less. I’ve had McDonald’s, milkshakes, takeaways — same week, still in a deficit, because I train 4 days a week regardless.
The real shift wasn’t my body “knowing what it needs.” Mindful eating while you’re on meds that mess with hunger cues isn’t intuition — it’s a lie your meds are telling you. What actually got me through was leaning on what I know, not what I felt.
And for the first time, weight loss hasn’t felt chaotic. I feel strong. Steady. That’s the bit that matters more than the number.
This is the whole reason Bad Days First™ exists — not “trust your gut” advice that was never built for ND brains on meds. Your way, backed by what’s actually happening in your body.
Personal experience, alongside my own qualified background in nutrition. Always speak to your prescriber before changing how you eat on medication.
