🌿 Annual Leave Notice 🌿

Just a little heads-up for everyone that I will shortly be taking some annual leave.

My last working day will be Friday 18th September 2026, and I will return to work on Monday 12th October 2026.

During this time, I will not be responding to work-related messages or enquiries.

📩 If you would usually contact me through Facebook Messenger, please email me instead at:

[email protected]

This will help ensure that your message is safely in my inbox and isn't missed amongst Facebook messages while I am away.

Please be aware that emails will not be responded to during my annual leave. I will work through them as soon as possible following my return, so please allow me a little time to catch up.

If you message me through Facebook Messenger while I am away, I may not see your message, so email is the best way to make sure your enquiry is picked up when I return.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience. 💚

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to put a quick post up to explain a few things.

As many of you know, I am currently supporting a high number of families with appeals and tribunal cases. Alongside this, I am also managing my own child’s tribunal case and dealing with some personal family difficulties. Because of this, my working capacity is more limited than usual at the moment.

To help me manage my time and ensure I can continue supporting as many families as possible, I kindly ask that:

🔹 Please do not send work-related messages to my personal Facebook profile.
🔹 For support enquiries, please use the chat option on my business page Emma Fuller SEN Support.
🔹 Alternatively, you can email me at [email protected].

My working hours are:
🕘 Monday to Friday
🕔 9am – 5pm

Any messages received outside of these hours will be responded to during working hours.

Keeping communication through my business page and email helps me keep track of cases properly and ensures nobody’s message gets missed.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support it really does mean a lot.

Emma xx

In 2025, with the state of SEND support, a SEN parent is required to become a professional Parent.

We don’t get a choice.

We have to study our child’s diagnosis inside out.
We have to understand SEN law, guidance, and rights.
We have to advocate, challenge, and push back against systems that are supposed to help us.

We become our child’s voice in rooms full of professionals.

We learn how to manage highly challenging behaviour.
We support complex mental health needs.
We become teachers, counsellors, behaviour specialists, advocates, case managers.

All of this while many of us are neurodivergent ourselves.

We don’t want to have to be all of this.
But when EHCPs are rejected over and over, when children are in constant crisis, when waiting lists are years long and some children are never even seen what choice do we have?

Support often comes too late, if it comes at all.

So parents step in.
We fill the gaps.
We become the professionals until the professionals arrive.

And the truth many don’t like to hear is this:
very often, SEN parents know more about SEND than the professionals they’re sitting across from because no role truly trains you for SEN, but lived experience does.

Yet despite all of this, SEN parents are still treated as the problem.
Still questioned.
Still pushed to the bottom of the list.

So yes SEN parents are professional parents.
Not by design.
But for survival.
