Tape extensions should lay completely flat to the head with NO root lift!

This ensures that they are comfortable for the client and also avoids traction alopecia…

💕 Keep your sections NEAT and TIDY.
✨ Keep the bottom tape extension close to the scalp before laying the natural hair onto it.
💭 If you get root lift - remove and reapply.

It’s a big myth that hair extensions can cause damage to your clients hair! As long as they are applied and looked after correctly there is no reason why damage would occur.

💕 Give thorough aftercare advice.

Read below. 👇🏻👇🏻

We have seen a lot of posts recently about people saying that hairdressers charge to much!

✨Tubes of tint - £9+
💕 Rolls of foil - £20+
💭 Bottles of peroxide - £5+
🫶🏻 Backwash - £10+ each
✨ Styling products - £7+ each
💕 Scissors - £100-500
💭 Hairdryer - £80+
🫶🏻 Straighteners - £80+

& that just a small amount that goes into your service…
Don’t forget about booking systems, card machines, tea, coffee, biscuits, gloves, etc!

That goes without the 4+ years training to become a hairdresser - it is a hard skill to learn: learning how to consult with clients, identify hair/scalp problems, how to style the hair in different ways, different cutting techniques that make up a haircut, being able to predict what colour needs to be applied to get the outcome that you want… & that’s just the beginning!

Ongoing training courses to stay up to date can be around £1000 a year.

Hairdressing is a career not a hobby - if people working in offices and other services can earn £30,000-£40,000 a year than hairdressers can too!

We understand there’s a cost of living crisis but ask your hairdressers what they can do within your budget… 🫶🏻
