So just one more week of this year in Schools. Reflection of the past year and I’ve had the opportunity to take on two new schools and all the others have had a great year with more students signing up. Massive thank you to all the hard working admin staff and teachers who work so hard to sort our lessons out but the biggest thank you has to be to Andrew Withams and his team at Southend Music On Sea who continue to work so hard for us Peri teachers.
Basildon Music Academy has also gone from strength to strength with big changes just around the corner. If it wasn’t for John BasildonStudios Summerton we would not be there. Thank You for being there for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better Boss

It’s amazing when you see a turning point in a student. Today was one of those days. Recently I took on a 4 year old student. Knowing from experience that someone at that age only has the attention span but I wasn’t going to be beaten. After our 10 minute snare drum session I turn the lesson into a game working on theory flash cards and at 4 years old I now have a student who can recognise a crochet, quaver and semi-quaver. We are also having fun working with the Djembe drums. He absolutely loved his lesson today and was focused for the whole 30 mins. Made me feel like I gave him a really great lesson
