It has been so lovely to welcome all of the children to Rabbits class this week! We have had a fantastic first few days, and it has been wonderful to see the children settling into their routines, playing with friends and getting stuck into their learning.

We are so proud of how well they have all done, particularly after the long summer break. There have been lots of smiles, laughter and positive moments, and it has been a real pleasure having them back with us.

What a fantastic first day back at school!

It was lovely to welcome everyone back this morning, as well as all of our new starters. Everyone looked incredibly smart and ready for the year ahead.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing some exciting changes to the way we communicate with our parents and families, as well as introducing a new look monthly newsletter.

Reception Graduation 🎓💛

Today we celebrated our wonderful Reception graduation. For some of our children, this marks the end of an amazing 2½ years in our EYFS family. We've had the privilege of watching them grow from little toddlers into confident, kind, and curious learners who are more than ready for their next adventure.
We are so proud of every single one of you and all that you've achieved. Thank you to our wonderful families for trusting us to be part of your children's early years. We'll miss you all so much, but we know you'll continue to shine as you begin Year 1. 💛🌟🎓

Key Stage 2 enjoyed their summer festival, making the most of the weather. Bouncy castles, face painting, hot dogs, ice-cream station and of course a water fight!! 🔫 ☀️ Everyone had a great time and got a good soaking to cool down 😎 A huge ‘Thank you’ to the PTA for their organising and help on the night 😊

☀️ Key Stage 1 Festival Fun Day ☀️

Our Key Stage 1 children enjoyed a wonderful Festival Fun Day filled with fun, laughter, and exciting activities. The children had a fantastic time exploring giant bubbles, posing in the photo booth, bouncing on the bouncy castles, and cooling down with ice lollies.

It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to celebrate the end of the school year. A big thank you to all the PTA and staff who helped make the day such a success!

Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic transition session at Dowdales, getting a taste of life in secondary school!

In Design & Technology, they made delicious carrot cake cupcakes, learning practical food preparation skills such as peeling and shredding carrots before baking their creations.

They also got creative by using acrylic to make colourful wind spinners, producing some wonderful designs to take home.

It was a brilliant morning filled with hands-on learning, creativity and new experiences. Well done, Year 5 – we hope you enjoyed your time at Dowdales!

🏃‍♂️ Rounders Team 🏃‍♂️

Our team showed great determination, teamwork and resilience throughout the day. With every game they played, their confidence grew, and it was brilliant to see them supporting each other and putting into practice everything they've been working on.

We're so proud of their positive attitude and the progress they made. Well done, team! 👏
