💚 Moorfield Primary School: A New Chapter Begins 💚

Today, we officially opened the doors to the Primary phase of Moorfield Learning Centre — a moment that has been a long time in the making, and one we are incredibly proud to finally share.

With our Primary pupils now joining us, Moorfield is officially an all-through 5–18 specialist setting.

It has taken a huge amount of planning, hard work and belief to reach this point, but today was about the people who matter most — our young people.

We could not have been prouder of our first Primary learners, who embraced their new school with such confidence and enthusiasm. They explored their new surroundings, began making the space their own and brought exactly what every new classroom needs most — personality, energy and life. 💚

This is such an exciting new chapter for Moorfield. Being able to support children from Primary age right through to Post-16 gives us an incredible opportunity to build relationships and provide the consistency that so many young people need.

What a wonderful first day back at Moorfield 💙

Our centres are only ever buildings until our young people walk through the doors — and today, they brought every one of them back to life!

It was especially nice to welcome pupils into our new Secondary Hub for the first time. A lot of hard work has gone into creating the space, but it was the students’ laughter and energy that made it feel like Moorfield today.

Across all of our settings, it has been lovely to see familiar faces returning, new beginnings taking shape, and young people settling back in with the staff who know and care about them.

A huge thank you to our brilliant staff team for making every setting feel so warm and welcoming.

We are very excited for the year ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has applied for our Admin Assistant vacancy at Moorfield Learning Centre.

We have been delighted (and a little overwhelmed!) by the number of applications received. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to acknowledge every application individually, but please be assured that every one is being carefully considered.

If you have applied, we will be in touch next week regarding interviews.

Our school students had a fantastic day at the Wildlife Oasis this week as part of their ASDAN programme this week.

The visit gave them the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of animals, and enjoy spending time together outside the classroom.

We’ve also made the most of the beautiful sunshine this week, with a spot of crazy golf adding to the fun. It has been a wonderful opportunity to make memories together and celebrate a brilliant year at school.

Well done to all of our students for representing Moorfield so brilliantly, and a huge thank you to our dedicated staff team for making these opportunities possible.
