🥋 SUMMER KARATE COMPLETED! 🥋

A huge thank you to everyone who booked onto my karate courses this summer!

We’ve had 6 fantastic days packed with fun, new skills, hard work and new friendships. We’ve had children working towards gradings, medals won, trophies awarded and lots of brilliant progress along the way.

A massive well done to everyone who passed their grading today after three intensive days of karate, working hard through the syllabus. You should all be very proud! 👏

🏆 Congratulations to Heidi, who walked away with our overall trophy today for her fantastic effort, disciplined attitude, respect and determination throughout the course. Very well deserved!

🥋 July 3-Day Karate Camp – Over & Out! ☀️

What an amazing 3 days we’ve had!

The children learned and practised both new and familiar karate skills, had lots of fun, made new friends, and enjoyed playing in the sunshine. They all worked incredibly hard on the requirements for their next belt grading and showed fantastic effort throughout the camp.

🏅 Every child received a medal to celebrate their achievements.

Amelia truly embodied our karate values throughout the camp with her respect, perseverance, positive attitude and willingness to help others. A very well-deserved award!

Day 2 of our Karate Summer Course! 🥋

Another fantastic morning full of learning, energy and fun!

Today the children enjoyed:

* Warm-up games and stretching
* A recap of punching techniques and stances
* Learning head blocks, first individually before progressing to partner drills
* Hurdle fitness challenges to build agility and coordination
* Kicking practice on bags to improve technique and power
* Stance work to develop strong foundations
* More bag work to build confidence, speed and control

The children worked incredibly hard, encouraged each other throughout the session, and are making brilliant progress every day. We can’t wait for Day 3! 💪🥋

NS Karate Summer Course – Day 1

What a fantastic first day of our NS Karate Summer Course!

The day began with registration before everyone got moving with a fun hoop warm-up and stretching session to get ready for the day ahead.

After a quick break, the children worked on their punching techniques using focus pads, followed by an exciting game of Red Light, Green Light, helping to improve speed, reactions and control while having lots of fun.

Next, we focused on Kata and Kihon, practising strong stances, punches, blocks and movement, before finishing the morning with our ever-popular Hoop Sparring, where the children worked on movement, distance and control in a safe and enjoyable way.

After a well-earned lunch, we finished the day with more fun karate activities before rounding everything off by tidying up together.

It was lovely to see everyone making new friends, encouraging each other and growing in confidence throughout the day. The smiles and teamwork were fantastic to see!

Well done to everyone for your brilliant effort, listening and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for another action-packed day! 🥋💪
