As the school year comes to a close, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to four incredible members of staff who are leaving us this summer.

Mrs Burns and Miss Johnston have been valued members of our school community for many years. Their dedication, kindness and commitment have made a lasting difference, and they will be greatly missed.

Mr Reid has made a tremendous impact during his two years with us, supporting both pupils and colleagues. We wish him every success as he embarks on his exciting new adventure as Acting Head of Newton Village Academy.

And finally, Mrs Allewell. After an incredible 23 years of unwavering dedication to our school, she begins a well-earned retirement. Thank you for everything you have given to our school community—you will be missed more than words can say.

We wish each of you every happiness and success in the next chapter of your journey. Once part of our school family, always part of our school family.

Class of 2026… what a journey it’s been 🥺

⭐️ Year 6 have been enjoying their final week in school.

Today, the children were treated to a beautiful leavers meal at Townhouse.211, Barrow in Furness. A huge thank you to Matt and his team for looking after us.

This was followed by a parents v children rounders game this afternoon! A last minute win for the children rounded off a great day!

The week began with their production of Sister Act at Furness Academy.
