🎉🎓 GCSE Results Day 2026 🎓🎉

A big congratulations to our Year 11 students on their GCSE results!

It was great to welcome everyone in this morning and see so many happy faces as students collected their results, caught up with friends and celebrated with staff.

We’re really proud of the effort, commitment and resilience our students have shown over the last few years, and it was lovely to see them enjoying the moment this morning.

Well done, Year 11 — and best of luck with whatever comes next. We look forward to seeing what you achieve!

📢 Year 11 Results Day – Thursday 20th August

Results can be collected between 9am and 11am from the Centrica Building. Please enter via the rear double doors, accessed through the small gate on Sandy Gap Lane.

🚗 Due to ongoing building works on the school site, the car park will be unavailable. Please walk or car share where possible as parking nearby is limited.

📧 Students receiving their results remotely should check that they can access their school Gmail account before Thursday morning. If you are unable to access your account, please contact Mrs Ryan to let her know as soon as possible, and she will do her best to resolve the issue before results are sent out.

We look forward to celebrating with you on Thursday!

Reminder 🩵

New School Uniform for September 🎉

We're delighted to be introducing our highly requested new school uniform this September!

The core uniform is now available to purchase from Identity, and with fewer branded items required, many essentials can also be purchased from local supermarkets or online retailers.

Items that can be purchased from your preferred retailer include:
• White collared shirts (with a top button suitable for a tie)
• Navy school trousers (straight leg only. No leggings, jeggings or flares)
• Plain black school socks (no frills or logos)

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September! 💙

🏅 Sports Day 2026 🏅

What a fantastic day! Well done to every student who took part in Sports Day 2026. It was wonderful to see everyone giving their all and working hard to earn points for their forms.

A huge thank you also to all of our students for creating such a positive, supportive atmosphere throughout the day. Your encouragement, teamwork and sportsmanship made the event truly special.

🌈🤩 Last week was show week and what a fantastic run we had! Our students performed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to both public and primary school audiences with brilliant feedback from all!

Well done to the cast, backstage and technical crew for putting on such a fabulous show! 🎭🌈

🌍⚽ Walney World Cup! ⚽🌍

Last week marked the end of two fantastic weeks of football for our Walney World Cup, featuring 13 teams, over 120 players and 21 exciting matches.

Packed with passion, penalties and personalised kits - every game was played in a brilliant spirit. A huge thank you to all of the pupils and staff who came along to support each lunchtime and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere.

💦🚒 A big thank you to our local Fire & Rescue Service for visiting school yesterday to deliver important water safety talks to our students.

The sessions highlighted the dangers of open water, how to stay safe around rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs, and what to do in an emergency. These valuable messages could help save lives.

We are grateful to the crew for sharing their expertise and helping our students make safe, informed choices. 🚒💙
