This week, our Headteacher, Mrs Robinson, has been out in the community, visiting local primary schools and meeting with pupils to share the fantastic opportunities available to them at Furness Academy. 📚✨

From our excellent learning environment to our wide range of academic, sporting and enrichment opportunities, we are excited to be following on from these visits with our Open Evening, taking place next week.

Open to all Year 5 and Year 6 students and their families, our Open Evening is the perfect opportunity to explore our facilities, meet our staff and students, and discover everything that makes Furness Academy such a special place to learn and grow.

St James' Church will be welcoming the arrival of their new Revd. Alfred Jennings. All families are welcome to join the service this Saturday at 2pm.

The event will be a day filled with free, family fun activities, that everyone can get involved with. This will include a book swap, so please bring a book and you can swap it with someone else on the day

We hope you've all been enjoying the Summer holidays. Children start back at school on Thursday 3rd September.

Year 3 are to come to school at the slightly earlier time of 8:30am so they can be settled in their classroom before the other year groups come into school. All children are to use the Adelaide Street entrance, gates will close at the usual time of 8:45am.

Mrs Rushton and Mrs Watson will be on the playground to welcome all of the children back.
