Outdoor play gives children a completely different environment to test what their bodies can do, and a bit of mud certainly doesn't have to stop the adventure. ๐Ÿ’œ

Walking across soft, uneven ground, stepping in and out of muddy areas and keeping steady on slippery surfaces all challenge children to adjust their movements as they explore.

Our Caterpillars & Butterflies have plenty of opportunities to choose what catches their attention and enjoy it at their own pace. Sometimes that means quietly settling down with a story, and other times it means getting both hands stuck in! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ™Œ

Cubs & Bears have certainly been getting stuck in!

One minute it's a careful bit of sticking, decorating and choosing the perfect finishing touch ๐ŸŽจ, the next it's sleeves up and hands straight into a mountain of bubbles! ๐Ÿซง

Outside, the hard hats may have been missing, but the construction crew were definitely on duty. Filling, lifting, tipping and transporting sand takes some serious concentration. ๐Ÿšง

Different activities, different adventures and plenty of opportunities to experiment, make choices, get creative and discover what happens next. ๐Ÿ’œ

Our little chefs have been busy serving up pretend food in the home corner, while outside it was all hands on deck as the children worked together to transport a rather impressive load of sand. Then it was time to roll, squash and shape dough at the table.

These simple moments are packed with opportunities to practise sharing ideas, working together, using those busy little hands and letting imaginations take over.
