Thank you to all those students, families and friends that have supported NWNPS on its journey throughout the years. As a staff, we have loved to watch our students grow in confidence, perseverance, resilience and maturity. We wish all our past students the very best for their future hopes and dreams and every success in their forged paths. And I’m sure, no matter where we are, we will always be North Walney Blue, through and through!

Eagle class: Today was Viking science! We discussed how dairy was an important part of a Viking’s diet. We made butter by shaking double cream and separating the butter fat from the buttermilk, then seasoning to preserve to our taste. Of course you can’t have butter without bread! So, we each made a batch of bread rolls: white and crusty, wholemeal and multiseed and (not Viking like) cheese and tomato bread. It was delicious and filled the air with wonderful smells! We all went home with a mixture of each, plus our butter pats.

We currently have no heating (or internet!) hoping engineers will fix it this morning. VERY cold in school will keep you informed in the next 20 minutes or so. We may need to keep coats on! 🥶 I THNK I HAVE FIXED IT! We may still be wearing coats for an hour or two!

We had breakfast with Santa!🎅🏼 what a superb festive day we had and the children got TWO great gifts and a new school bag too! Santa had help from a not so little elf and we had hot chocolate and breakfast treats.
