Having taught physics at KS3, GCSE and A level for over 20 years, I have a wealth of experience helping students to learn this subject. As an examiner I have an excellent insight into the requirements of exams and can help anyone to improve provided they are willing to put in the work. I love to teach and you will find me relaxed and friendly whether online or at my home. Last week we were delighted to host a professional development event delivered by the National Space Academy, welcoming both specialist and non-specialist staff from across KS3, GCSE, and A-level provision, and from a range of local schools.

The session focused on how the theme of space can be meaningfully incorporated into teaching, using engaging demonstrations and practical experiments without placing additional pressure on an already crowded science curriculum.

Both space advocates delivered an outstanding session; highly knowledgeable, passionate, and exceptionally supportive, leaving staff inspired, confident, and equipped with practical strategies to take straight back into the classroom.

Last week, some of our Year 9 students took part in an exciting Life in Space workshop delivered by the National Space Academy.

Our visiting space advocate explored how humans adapt to life beyond Earth, the forces experienced in space, and the chemical reactions that make space travel possible. Students enjoyed taking part in hands-on mini experiments, learning about future career pathways in the space industry, and even had the opportunity to explore a real cosmonaut suit.

A fantastic and inspiring experience for all involved.
