Songbird Music

Sunday afternoon gifted us a sell-out event filled with joyful music, community spirit, and Christmas magic. ✨🌟
A joint concert with the Carry on Choir North Devon and the Barnstaple Male Voice Choir brought people together in support of Families in Grief, and we are all honoured to have played a part in raising funds for such a meaningful charity.

There were some truly unforgettable moments including our guest performers - three incredibly talented individuals stunned the crowds with their beautiful songbird voices. Their talent, enthusiasm, and sheer joy were inspiring to witness. We are unbelievably proud of each of them. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, sang, clapped, and cheered — you helped make this an afternoon to remember.

✨ The last two evenings have been something truly special, with Teachers Rock Choir and so many schools across Devon performing at the fantastic Exeter Cathedral under the direction of Debbie Kent

I’m so proud of our Teachers Rock Youth Choir — small, but definitely mighty. They absolutely rose to the occasion, and their energy, courage, and harmonies filled that beautiful space in the most magical of ways. A huge mention for all the soloists - every one of them were absolutely stunning.

Feeling proud, grateful, and completely blown away by what has been achieved by so many 💕🎶

The build-up, the rehearsals, the excitement, and finally stepping into that incredible venue… it all came together in two evenings we’ll remember for a very long time.

🎶 Carry On Choir is back – and we’re welcoming new members! 🎶

We’re a fun, friendly rock & pop community choir based in Westward Ho! and Bideford, open to all abilities (ages 18+). No auditions, no requirement to read sheet music – just great songs, great company, and a lot of laughs!

Now under the leadership of Emelia McNeill (music teacher & choir leader) and accompanist Sue Trick, we’re excited to begin a new chapter while continuing the fantastic work of Kathy and Dale Hurrell, who are off to Wales to start another Carry On Choir. A joint performance is already on the horizon for 2026!

📍 Wednesday 17th September, Pollyfield Centre, Bideford – 7:30–9pm
📍 Thursday 18th September, Westward Ho! Baptist Church – 2–3:30pm or 7:30–9pm
