Our Year 3 and Year 4 Nature Club children have been busy today, finishing off the weeding and preparing the beds for some exciting new additions! 🌱🧤

🏓✨ Table Tennis ECA Update ✨🏓
Our Table Tennis ECA has been full of energy, laughter, and some seriously impressive rallies! Even though not too many pupils joined us, it turned out to be a fantastic opportunity to really focus, practise, and master our skills 🏓💪
We were incredibly lucky with the weather too — not too bright (no squinting during serves! 😎🙈) and paired with a lovely, refreshing breeze that made every session even more enjoyable 🌬️☀️
With summer now here, we’re more than ready to show off our growing table tennis talents in front of our friends during those long, bright days ahead — watch out for some epic matches! 🔥🏓

Huge smiles from our Sustainability Documentary winners as they enjoy an unforgettable trip to Sweden. We’re excited to welcome them home tomorrow and can’t wait to hear everything they’ve learned and experienced.

What a fantastic day at the Landmark Theatre as part of the Playhouse Project!

Over the past few weeks, our Musical Theatre Club have worked incredibly hard to learn their script, rehearse their performance and prepare for today’s show. They were given the exciting opportunity to perform on a real theatre stage in front of an audience, and they truly rose to the occasion.

Throughout the process, the children showed excellent teamwork, supporting and encouraging one another every step of the way. Their confidence, enthusiasm and dedication shone through in their performance.

Mrs Bearman is incredibly proud of every single one of them – well done, Musical Theatre Club!

Year 2 had an absolutely berry-tastic treat today! 🍓
Mr David, who kindly volunteers his time to listen to us read, also keeps us up to date with all the exciting happenings on his allotment. We’ve loved watching his home-grown vegetables and fruits develop over time—and today, the best part… we got to taste them!
Our special snack came fresh from the ground, and wow… those strawberries were the sweetest, juiciest, most delicious we’ve ever tasted (we may never look at supermarket strawberries the same way again! 😄).
It linked beautifully with our topic on community and showed us just how powerful kindness can be.

Year 1 have dived straight into their new topic this term! 🌊🐠
We are exploring the oceans, learning about the five oceans of the world and where they are located on a map. 🗺️

We are also discovering the amazing animals that live in these habitats. 🐋🐢
We are really looking forward to all the exciting learning ahead this term! ✨

Year 1 are really enjoying their Maths lessons this week! 🔢✨
We have been exploring numbers from 1 to 100 using a hundred square. 🟦

This has helped us spot number patterns, practise counting forwards and backwards, and build our confidence with place value. 🌟

YVPS Year 2 Update – We’ve Got Our Blue Peter Badges! 💙✨
Exciting news! Year 2 pupils were buzzing with excitement when they received their Blue Peter Badges – and rightly so! 😄👏 It’s fantastic to see that all their hard work has truly paid off.
We’re wearing our badges with pride and can’t wait to enjoy all the amazing perks that come with being a proud Blue Peter Badge holder! 🎉🏅

This is a unique role at the heart of our school community, helping to prepare and serve lunches for staff. The role also includes baking cakes and treats, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, customer service and working with people.
