What can I say about this lady, she has been a loyal student of Matt Fiddes Martial Arts in Barnstaple since 2004 ( 21 years ) her whole family has also trained as well. In March 2008 I opened my 1st school in Braunton, there was already a well established MF school in Barnstaple which I use to train at.
On the day I was going to open I had new students booked in to try the class, I also received a phone call from Maria to say that the the Barnstaple school was closed and they didn’t know what was happening so could her and the rest of the students come to Braunton. She has been my student since then for 17 years.
At her first try for her 4th degree test she was unsuccessful but she came away with the purpose to retest 6 months later, through her perseverance she arrived yesterday at the 6 hr grading knowing that their would be 3 others testing as well. These were Instructors as well as students.
I am honoured and proud as her Instructor.
