Best Ever GCSE Results at The Park Community School!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the best GCSE results in the history of The Park Community School, continuing a strong upward trend in outcomes over recent years.

This year's Class of 2026 achieved record-breaking results, including:

✅ 51.9% achieving Grade 5+ in both English and Maths

✅ 72.1% achieving Grade 4+ in both English and Maths

✅ 71% achieving Grade 5+ in English

✅ 55.5% achieving Grade 5+ in Maths

✅ 30 students averaging Grade 7 or above across all subjects

✅ 91 Grade 9s

✅ 372 grades at Grade 7 or above

These results reflect the dedication, resilience and ambition of our students, supported by our fantastic staff, families and wider school community.

A huge thank you to our incredible students and staff for their commitment and perseverance, and to our parents and carers for the encouragement, support and trust they show in our school every day. These achievements are a true team effort.

Rising prices can make life's little treats harder to afford, especially during the school holidays when costs build up for families. This Government is determined to help, and that is why last month the Chancellor announced the Great British Summer Savings scheme. From 25 June to 1 September 2026, the Government is temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on children's meals in restaurants, children and family tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions, and admission to a wide range of attractions. Combined with free bus travel during August for children aged 5 to 15 in England, families and young people will be able to enjoy experiences that make summer special, including visits to the kinds of cultural and educational attractions that enrich children's lives outside the classroom.

We are excited to announce that the TAWRCCC track will be officially opened by the Mayor of Barnstaple on Saturday 4th July at noon. The team have been working hard to build their track on site at Park and it looks amazing! Well done all, we wish you every success with your club. Happy racing 😀
