🚨 ATTENTION ALL YEAR 5 & 6 PARENTS 🚨

Please find information regarding the Bikeability training programme on offer to Year 5 & 6 pupils.

The programme will be held at Roundswell School on Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th November.

Your child will need to dropped off at Roundswell school with a packed lunch at 9.00am & collected at 2.45pm on both days.

A member of Holywell staff will be accompanying them along with the qualified instructors.

Half term sporting opportunities 🍂

A morning spent at the local park for our Year 5 & 6 children after breakfast & packing.

Just a reminder to pick up your child at 1.30pm. 😊

⭐ Year 5 & 6 Residential Day 4 ⭐

Day 4 comprised of a morning walk & photo hunt to Putsborough in the sunshine. At the beach, the children took part in team games and had chance to play in the sand. ☀️

After lunch back at St George’s, they boarded the buses and travelled to Stockland’s Lake where they had a go at Canoeing, playing games on the water, racing and getting eachother wet. 🛶 💦

This evening, after the ‘last supper’, the St George’s House staff gathered the children in for a final goodbye & reflection of the week’s activities . 👋

⭐ Year 5 & 6 Residential Day 3⭐

Day 3 started with breakfast & making packed lunches before travelling out to Exmoor. Having disembarked, the children walked from Hillsford Bridge along the river to Watersmeet. 🌿

After a brief snack & comfort stop, they carried on towards Lynmouth, stopping to eat their lunch on the rocks beside the river. Once at the sea, the children had chance to do a spot of shopping before boarding the cliff railway. 🛍️

At Lynton, they carried on walking to the summit of Holiday Hill before decending down to the ‘Valley of the Rocks’ to board the buses back to Georgeham.

Now time for dinner & chilled evening before bed. 😴

⭐ Year 5 & 6 Residential Day 2 ⭐

After a good nights’ sleep, Year 5 & 6 started the day with archery & mountain biking around the trails of Georgeham. After alfresco lunch once again, it was time to get into wetsuits and head to Putsborough for a bodyboarding & surfing. As the tide came in and the sun came out, conditions were perfect for mastering the skill of catching a wave & standing up. 🏄‍♂️

After a chill back at the house, it was dinner time before a short walk to the local park for hockey, football & an explore in the fading light. 🌅

⭐ Year 5 & 6 Residential Day 1 ⭐

After a morning of settling into to their new surroundings, the children made the most of the sunshine and had lunch in the outside area of St George’s House. In the afternoon, they travelled down to Baggy Point to do some rock 🪨 scrambling before returning to base for a hearty dinner. 🍽️ To finish off the day, they travelled down to Chapel woods for a moonlit walk. 🌙

Children in Squirrels & Foxes had a great opportunity to take part in handball workshops delivered by England Handball Coach Cherif. 🤾‍♂️

If your child really enjoyed it today, on Monday 29th September, there will be free drop sessions for Year 3 & 4 at Park School.
