We are delighted to share some exciting news from FONS (Friends of Newport School, Barnstaple) — for the first time ever, we will be holding a Car Boot Sale in the school playground on Sunday 10th May.

This is a fantastic opportunity to have a clear‑out, make a profit, grab a bargain, and most importantly, help us raise the final funds needed for Project Playground — bringing us one big step closer to creating an amazing outdoor space for our children to enjoy.

Spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The pitch fee will be taken by Friends of Newport School (FONS) when you book through Zeffy, and any funds raised from sales on your car boot sale pitch on the day will be yours to keep.

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Claire Barker, author of the Picklewitch & Jack series, for an inspiring assembly with our Year 2–6 children.
If you’d like to meet Claire, she will be at Waterstones tomorrow evening at 6:30 PM for the Barnstaple Light Switch-On event. A great opportunity to say hello and pick up her new book,"Hettie Nettle's Handbook for Hedgewitches"!
