Our final day at the Calvert Trust and what a beautiful day it was! After an early start with packing and breakfast, we took part in our final activities before a scrummy lunch.
It has to be said, the childrenβs behaviour has been exemplary over the last few days and we have been really impressed by their resilience, perseverance and their willingness to push themselves out of their comfort zones.
I can imagine everyone will sleep well tonight (including the staff) after a busy few days creating some fantastic memories!

Year 3/4 children have had another action packed day at the Calvert Trust, Exmoor. After a hearty breakfast, π₯ π³ we were straight into morning activities which included crate stacking π§ββοΈ & archery. πΉ
For lunch we had Macaroni Cheese, which fuelled us for a scenic horse ride π΄ around the reservoir whilst the other group abseiled down a rock face and rode the zip wire. Later in the afternoon, the children got the chance to buy some souvenirs before playing some team games in the sports hall. β½οΈ
After a well deserved feast, the children enjoyed a disco πͺ© with party games hosted by Ronnie & Rosie. π€ Now time for bed! π΄

We've had a fantastic first day at our residential! Once we had our rooms sorted we went for a lovely sunny stroll around the reservoir then returned for a delicious lunch of pizza and salad. π
That set us up for a great afternoon of activities. One Bratton group had archery πΉ with the birthday boy himself Tyler proving himself worthy of a place amongst Robin Hood's Merry Men, while the other group were challenged with climbing π§ββοΈ as many crates as possible, with special mention to Jax who managed to balance himself on top of an incredible 13 crates!
Straight after this, Bratton had the centreβs pool to themselves for an hour of fun and splashing their teachers. π¦
Appetites sharpened, our evening meal was fish, chips and beans, after which we donned our onsies and settled down for movie night. πΏ
All the children went to bed incredibly happy and settled down quickly for a good nightβs sleep before another busy day! π΄

A message from Bratton Fleming CP School
Since our return from the Christmas holidays we have been informed that trespassers have accessed the school site and have been climbing to the top of the roof and posting pictures of themselves on Facebook.
Not only could this cause serious damage to themselves but we have also noticed further damage to our property. Please can we ask all residents in the village to keep a vigilant lookout for any activity around the school, and to let us know if anything is seen.
Thank you all for your help in maintaining our lovely school.
