Messy Play & Sensory Exploration!🧊🎨

Today we explored this colourful messy play activity, using our hands to scoop, spread and swirl the mixture and discover what happened when the colours moved and blended together!

This supported the children’s sensory development, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, while encouraging curiosity, creativity and early mark-making. We also talked about the colours we could see and enjoyed exploring the different ways we could move the ice. 🦁🥰

🌿 What a lovely week of outdoor adventures! 🌿

Lots of fun has been had outdoors this week, with plenty of exciting learning opportunities along the way! 🐷🐑🌳

We’ve enjoyed a trip to the farm, a few lovely walks and lots of fun at the park. The children have been busy exploring their surroundings, developing their confidence, building physical skills and enjoying the wonderful benefits of being outdoors.

Today we found a friend and the girls called him Pete! 🐌

The children were fascinated watching Pete slowly move along and loved taking a closer look. We talked about what snails look like, how they move and where they might live.
It was such a simple little discovery, but a great opportunity for the children to develop their curiosity, communication, understanding of the world and observational skills! 🌱💚

Well, that’s a wrap on my first summer holidays! ☀️

It’s been an absolute pleasure looking after all your little ones (and not so little ones!) and making lots of lovely memories along the way. 🥰

I want to wish everyone the very best of luck going back to school, starting a new year, and especially to those little ones starting big school for the very first time! ❤️

A huge thank you to all the parents who have chosen me to look after your pride and joys. It really does mean so much to me, and I hope I’ve given them lots of happy memories, fun and adventures over the summer. ❤️

Now it’s time to start a brand new term with a few new faces joining us! I’ve got lots of exciting things planned and I can’t wait to get started. 🥰

But first… a nice relaxing long weekend with my family! ❤️

Who’d have thought you could have so much fun with a cardboard box! 😂📦

It’s amazing what a little imagination can turn it into! From cars and houses to castles and all sorts of little adventures, a simple cardboard box can provide so many opportunities for imaginative and creative play. ❤️
