This week children in the hub went to the community cafe to make their own ice creams which is linked to our topic ‘Busy Beach’.
They enjoyed scooping the ice cream onto their cones and decorating them with sprinkles of their choice. Some children enjoyed eating their creation, some enjoyed looking at them.

This afternoon, children in Resource Provision have visited Hoyland Library. A lady explained about the types of books and where to find them, she read a story and then each child picked a book to take back to school. The lady at the library commented how well behaved all the children were, well done Resource, super proud as always! 📚📖☺️

This week in math we have been working on weight. We have done lots of practical activities including categorising, balanced scales and comparing which items are heavy and light. Some of us enjoyed an interactive game to order 3 objects from lightest to heaviest and visa versa without physically picking the objects up to check.

Lifeskills
Today we enjoyed making our own jam sandwiches. We had too slices of bread , one side we spread butter on then the other jam. We placed the bread together then using cutters made our own unique summer sandwiches. Afterwards we washed our equipment.
Our new topic in Resource Provision is now Dinosaurs.
In literacy, the children have been working very hard on the poem ‘Dinosaurs Did Not Roar’. They have been working so hard, practicing their lines and creating their own actions!
Well done Resource.🦕🦖
