Barnsley Youth Jazz Orchestra brought the heat and the cool to Looe, raising a fantastic £188.30 for the RNLI while holidaymakers soaked up the sunshine and some seriously smooth tunes.
Despite temperatures that could melt a trombone slide, the band played brilliantly, and the half‑time ice creams were the heroic refreshment they deserved. Even more impressively, not a single ice cream was lost to seagull piracy, which surely counts as a minor miracle on a British beach.
Huge thanks to the RNLI Looe Lifeboat Station, East Looe Town Trust and everyone who stopped by, tapped their feet, and supported the Looe RNLI. Cornwall, you were great. 🎷☀️🕶️
