A HUGE Thank You to Barnsley College today for a lovely morning with our Y5 pupils experiencing lots of different things. First they started their day with:
- Bodies, Health and First Aid workshop, experiencing the life of a Health and Social Care Child.
- Stone Age and Iron Age workshop delivered by class teachers but in the college’s classroom.
- Building the giant tower challenge.
- Immersive Experience video consolidating their learning on Earth and Space

Gardening Club Week 2: Tonight, we are cleaning the donated car tyres from our local Pentagon Motor Group branch! “THANK YOU”

The plan: For those that are aware, we are taking over a school allotment in the next few weeks. Gardening Club are painting and designing their own planters using the tyres 🛞🌸🌺 this will add some colour for now to our very overgrown plot🌳

‼️‼️SPORTS DAY PLANS‼️‼️

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the predicted weather forecast for Wednesday and Thursday this week, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Nursery Sports Day (planned for Wednesday) and Reception to Year 3 Sports Day (planned for Thursday).

Based on the BBC Weather forecast for our area (S74), both Wednesday and Thursday are currently predicted to have up to an 80% chance of rain.

This is a tricky decision to make, as it is based on a forecast, which could of course change. However, we also feel it is important to provide parents and carers with as much notice as possible to allow for planning and working arrangements.

With this in mind, the revised dates are as follows:

- Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 Sports Day: Thursday 11th June, starting at 9:15am
- Nursery Sports Day: Friday 12th June, starting at 9:15am

We appreciate that this change may again cause inconvenience and we are very grateful for your understanding and continued support in attending these events. Our priority is to ensure that Sports Day is both safe and enjoyable for all children taking part.

Just a bit of a heads-up for parents and carers of Nursery, Reception, Y1, Y2 & Y3

The great British weather is set to change drastically just in time for our rescheduled Sports Days.

We moved them to early in the half term to give us enough time to rearrange them if needed, so don’t worry—we’ll do our best to make sure they go ahead.

If any of the above events cannot take place, we will send out a new date and time as soon as possible to give you as much notice as we can.

Please bear with us, and keep your fingers crossed that the rain holds off on Wednesday and Thursday! 🤞🏼

16:22: Following our email around 10 minutes ago, the Y5’s arrival time home is a little delayed. We are due to arrive now lastest around 17:15pm due to traffic in the city centre.

We will keep you up to date via email and via our page.

Y5 have arrived at the theatre. We are very excited!

We have had a LOVELY morning with Luke from Barnsley Youth Choir. Luke hosted a KS1 assembly and then a KS2 assembly, teaching our children how to sing and get their voices warmed up.

A HUGE thank you to Luke for this morning!
