🎉 What an incredible year for FSCS! 🎉

Thanks to the amazing support of our school community, we’re delighted to share that this year’s fundraising total is an incredible £6,500!

The summer performance & our summer fayre raffle alone raised over £2,200!!
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and supported our events throughout the year.

Here’s just some of what the funds have helped provide for the children:

⭐ Pen*stone cinema trip
📚 New school books
🦖 Classroom donations
🏅 School council prizes
🪑 Covered outdoor benches
🚌 Leavers’ Bus
🤖 New starter sessions with Robot Reg
👫 New starter packs
💪 Steel the gladiator visit
🌻 ⚡️ Sunflower & Pokèmon competition prizes

A huge thank you to all the local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes, vouchers and gifts throughout the year.

Every ticket bought, cake donated, raffle prize gifted and hour volunteered has made a real difference to the children at our school.

And we’re not stopping there! We’re already looking ahead to exciting improvements to the school playground next year, watch this space…

From all of us at Friends of Silkstone Common School, thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do it without you!

Have a fantastic summer ☀️

🌻 Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd & 3rd place sunflower competition winners! 🌻

Also well done & thank you to everyone who took part!
Its been lovely to see what the children have grown, and to know they’re helping our bees thrive while having lots of fun along the way. 🐝

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the competition, especially our local garden centre, Horsfields Nursery, who generously donated the sunflower seeds and made it possible for us to run the competition.🌻🏆

All the money raised from this will go directly back into the school to support the children at Silkstone Common JI School 💙💛

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow! 💙💛

If you’re now able to spare an hour to help on a stall we’d be very grateful.
Since the date changed some of our volunteers are no longer available.

Just a few final reminders:

🎟️ Please return all raffle tickets and money to reception before Sports Day starts.

🧁 Cake donations can be brought into school tomorrow morning.

Thank you for all your support, we hope you have a fantastic time at the summer fayre! 🎪

🚨 We’re so close! Can you help?🚨

Our volunteer sheet is almost full, but we still need a few helpers for:

🦆 Hook a duck
🐀 Splat the rat
👢 Welly wanging

Even if you can spare just an hour, we’d love to hear from you!

If you’re able to help at our 🎪 summer fayre 🎪 please sign up via the link below or speak to one of the team.

Our summer fayre is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, with every penny raised going back to benefit the children at our school.
Every helping hand makes a difference & allows all the volunteers, & the children with their families to enjoy every bit of the fayre. 💙💛
