Goldthorpe Shotokan Karate Club
Shotokan Karate Japanese martial art, the modern day version of which was introduced to the Japanese public in 1922 by Gichin Funakoshi.
Training involves Kihon (basic techniques), Kumite (sparring of various types) and Kata (set sequence of techniques). Lessons are £1.50 per person.
Back to training from Tuesday 13th April, following the social distancing rules that were established last year. See you all on Tuesday, stay safe and look after yourselves.

Well, the lockdown is over, so everyone back to training on the 8th December. Keep safe and see you then.
Hello Everyone, hoping this post finds you all safe and well. Training will resume on Tuesday 1st September, but with the following changes.
1. If anyone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19, do NOT attend class.
2. Face coverings to be worn at all times by parents and visitors to the dojo (training hall).
3. Students and instructors to wear face coverings on first arrival, during registration and when leaving the dojo, but the face coverings can be removed once training starts.
4. Hands are to be sanitised upon arrival, sanitiser will be available on the registration desk.
5. Social distancing of 2 metres to be adhered to wherever possible, with students staying in either individual or family cordoned off areas, there will be no assisted stretching or training, there will be no sparring, and toilets visits are to be restricted to one person at a time.
A copy of the risk assessment will be issued to all students on Tuesdays lesson.

Well done to Elisa, Harry and Joel, who all passed their grading on Sunday. Sorry to have not been there, but i was well informed that they all did well. Hoping to be back in Tuesday.
