๐ผ Half Term Newsletter ๐ผ
What a busy and exciting half term we have had! The children have been full of energy, creativity, and enthusiasm in all that they have been doing. We are so proud of everything they have achieved.
๐ World Book Day Fun
We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. The children came dressed in costumes or cosy pyjamas and enjoyed sharing their favourite stories. We used props to bring stories to life, encouraging imagination and a love of reading.

๐จ Creative Celebrations
The children have been busy getting creative! We made beautiful Easter cards and decorated eggs with lots of colours and patterns. We also created thoughtful Motherโs Day cards, showing care and appreciation for our loved ones.

We enjoyed going shopping and out for dinner, helping children understand everyday experiences and develop independence.

Trips to the park were full of fun! The children loved using the swings and slide, developing their physical skills and confidence.

We explored Chinese New Year by tasting Chinese food and learning about different traditions. The children were excited to try new flavours!

Role play has been a big highlight this half term. The children loved being shopkeepers and caring for baby dolls, building their imagination and social skills.

๐ Half Term Newsletter ๐
Weโve had a fantastic, fun-filled half term! Itโs been so lovely seeing everyone back after Christmas and settling in so well.
๐ Story Time Fun
Weโve been enjoying The Gruffalo, The Gingerbread Man and The Three Little Pigs, using props to bring the stories to life and help us join in with the repeated phrases.
๐ Mental Health Week
We explored our feelings by making happy, sad and angry faces, talked about emotions, practised yoga and enjoyed relaxing wellbeing walks.
๐ Communication & Language
โI Spyโ games and our daily nursery rhyme bag have helped build our listening, attention and speaking skills.
๐ณ Out and About
The children loved being outdoors, visiting soft play to develop gross motor skills, going to playgroups and enjoying trips to the library.
A busy half term full of smiles, learning and lots of fun! ๐

๐ต Song of the Half Term โ โStop When I Say Freezeโ ๐ต
This half term our focus song is โStop When I Say Freeze.โ The children are having lots of fun dancing, hopping, twirling and moving in different ways โ and then listening carefully for the word โfreeze!โ
When they hear the signal, they have to stop their bodies completelyโฆ which always brings lots of smiles!
How This Links to the EYFS Prime Areas
Communication and Language
โข Developing careful listening skills.
โข Following simple instructions.
โข Understanding key words such as stop and freeze.
Physical Development
โข Building gross motor skills through hopping, twirling, jumping and dancing.
โข Developing balance, coordination and body control.
โข Learning to control movements by stopping and starting on cue.

โข Managing excitement and practising self-regulation when stopping on command.
โข Building confidence when moving in different ways.
โข Enjoying shared group experiences.

The workshop is for parents/carers who have a child/children aged 0-2 years old and children are welcome to attend.
Welcoming a new baby into the family is an extraordinary event filled with joy, love, and numerous adjustments. However, it's also a time when parents can experience significant challenges, including changes in mental health and overall wellbeing. To support parents and carers during this time the Postnatal Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop which will include:
โข Recognising postnatal mental health symptoms
โข Coping with and managing emotions and your mental health and wellbeing
โข Support your relationship with your baby and your family and support network
โข Support with coping strategies, relaxation and calming techniques
