💗 Help us support our amazing Laura 💗

Our wonderful friend, colleague and much-loved member of our work family, Laura, is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Laura is a mum of two beautiful children and while she focuses on her treatment and getting through this incredibly difficult time, we want to help take away one worry that no family should have to carry - money.

Her children deserve to be able to enjoy those precious, special moments with their mum without anyone having to think twice about the cost. And Laura deserves to be surrounded by love, support and as many happy moments as possible.

Laura is so incredibly loved by everyone who knows her. She has worked at Worsbrough Common for 17 years, dedicating so much of her life to caring for, supporting and making a difference to countless children and families. She has given so much to others and now it's our turn to give something back to her.

On Monday 5th October 2026, Worsbrough Common Primary School and Rising Stars Daycare will be holding a 'Pink Day' to raise funds for Laura and her family.

There will be lots of fundraising activities taking place throughout the day and we'll be sharing more updates and details very soon.

If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much to Laura and her family.

But most importantly… PLEASE SHARE.
Every share helps us reach more people and gives us another chance to show Laura just how loved she is.

Let's come together as a community and help create some special memories for Laura and her children - memories filled with love, laughter and happiness, without the added worry of finances.

Welcome Back Everyone!

We hope you’ve all had a lovely break. We’re looking forward to welcoming all children back on 1st September! 🥰

Please ensure your child brings the following items:

🎒 A backpack
👕 A full set of spare clothes
👟 Indoor shoes/slippers
🧻 A packet of baby wipes
💧 A water bottle

Please make sure ALL items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.

🍎 Food & Drinks

To help us keep everyone safe, children must not bring any food or drinks into nursery, as we have children who attend with food allergies.

Children may bring a water bottle, but it must be empty when they arrive. We will provide water and milk throughout the day.

🧸 Toys from Home

Please do not allow children to bring toys from home into nursery. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any toys that are lost or damaged.

💷 30 Hours Funding

If your child receives 30 hours funding, please ensure you have obtained or renewed your eligibility code before 31st August in order for your child to be eligible for their funded hours this term.

☔ Outdoor Clothing

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day. We play outdoors in all types of weather, so suitable coats, waterproofs, hats, wellies, etc. may be needed depending on the forecast.
