If you’ve popped into VINTage UK Barnsley recently, you may have spotted some very special student-made designs 👗

Our Fashion students worked with Age UK Barnsley to transform damaged or unsellable clothing into new garments inspired by the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

Each student researched, designed, screen printed and constructed an A-line dress before taking part in an in-store styling competition.

A brilliant project with a strong message that no item of clothing is ever out of style 💙

"A valuable day of discussion and reflection..." 💬

Our Apprenticeships team recently joined the UK Partner Conference at Sheffield Hallam University, sharing the positive impacts of partnership working on staff and students alike.

Grace Talbot, HE Teacher in Apprenticeships, said: "I was pleased to take part in a panel discussion focused on learning from partnerships.

"During the session, I shared how partnership working helps me continually develop and enhance the training I deliver to our Level 5 Assistant Practitioner apprentices, ensuring that teaching remains relevant, responsive, and informed by current practice across the sector."

🎬 Lights, camera, industry experience!

Our Higher Education Media students have been putting their creativity into action through a live client project with Light Cinema Sheffield .

Working to a real brief, they produced promotional videos, social media content, photography and posters before seeing their work showcased on the big screen at the cinema.

Projects like this give our students valuable hands-on experience, helping them build the skills, confidence and professional relationships needed for a career in the creative industries.
