Well that was a close one!! Thanks to everyone for your patience! We had a little issue as we had no RD due to some confusion.
At 8.58 I was just on the brink of telling the volunteers that had contacted me to cancel, when Tim Wade arrived like a knight in shining armour to save the day.
It was a really difficult call and one nobody wants to make at the very last minute so I am so grateful to the volunteers that called us and sorted everyone one out that had arrived.
And a really MASSIVE THANK YOU to Tim for giving up his run and making sure the event could take place!!!
See you all next week, and if you are available to volunteer please let me know!

Well what a day we had on Saturday. We had 253 participants, we had visitors from the local cancelled parkruns as well as some visitors from Ukraine. We also had some fabulous young people from BYouth Barnsley Young People’s Service who graduated their couch to 5k, you were all fabulous and we hope to see you all again soon. If you have a young person that may want to take part in the future programmes, keep your eyes peeled on their page.

We had Stu completing his 250th volunteer and finally I completed my 500th volunteer. I follow a long line of amazing volunteers at Barnsley that have all completed 500. I hope everyone managed to get some cake.

We are very lucky to have an amazing committed core team at Barnsley but we are always on the look out for more volunteers so please get in touch if you can help.

Please be aware that the funfair is in the park so we do not have access to our over flow carpark today. We can still use the main car park.

When the main car park is full please be considerate where you park. We have had complaints in recent weeks about people blocking drives, its really important we don't upset those around us.

Please car share, walk, run or cycle wherever possible.

Thank you everyone, the roster is full.
See you all tomorrow.
