⭐️☕🍰 MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING 🍰☕⭐️

A huge thank you to all of our parents and carers who joined us for this year's Macmillan Coffee Morning 💛

We know that this year's event looked a little different to previous years, as we made the decision for it to be an adult-only event rather than inviting children to attend alongside families. However, it was absolutely wonderful to see so many of you there, enjoying a cuppa, some cake and a chat together. ☕✨

Events like these are not only important for raising money for an amazing cause, but they also provide a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together and connect. 🌟

Thank you for your generosity, support and for helping us make the morning such a success. Every donation will help make a difference to those supported by Macmillan Cancer Support. 💚

☕💛✨

⭐️ 🧬 SCIENCE CLUB 🧬 ⭐️

Tonight in Science Club, our amazing scientists were busy experimenting with liquids to create some amazing lava lamps! 🧪

They used STEM skills to measure quantities, test liquids and evaluate what worked and what to change next time 👩🏻‍🔬🧑‍🔬

🇬🇧🧁 READY… STEADY… BAKE! TOMORROW IS HUNNINGLEY’S GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF! 🧁🇬🇧

A quick reminder to all of our budding bakers that Hunningley’s annual Bake Off takes place TOMORROW — Thursday 24th September! 🎂

The competition is open to all year groups, and we would love to see as many children and families taking part as possible. There will be a winner from every year group and prizes to be won! 🏆

Please remember:

🧁 Bring all entries into school tomorrow morning.
🏷️ Label your bake with your child’s name and year group.
🥛 Include a full ingredients list to support allergies.
🍰 Please also name any cake tins or containers you would like returned.

All of our wonderful creations will then be served at our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September. 💚☕🍰

We can’t wait to see this year’s creations — good luck, Hunningley bakers! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🇬🇧

⭐️ YOUNG LEADERS ⭐️

Our Young Leaders have arrived at the Metrodome!

Our young leaders are taking part in an exciting training day, developing the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to become fantastic leaders within our school! 💪✨

Throughout the day, they will:
⭐ Explore what makes a great leader
🎯 Learning fun and inclusive playground games
🤝 Taking part in team-building challenges
🗣️ Building confidence in leading activities for younger pupils
🏅 Learn about the different roles involved in organising and running sporting events
💭 Thinking about how they can help develop a successful Sports Leaders programme in school

It’s been fantastic to see our young people stepping up, working together and developing their leadership skills.

We can’t wait to see them put their new skills into action! 🌟👏

⭐️ 🌱 YEAR 2 - PLANTS 🌱 ⭐

Our Year 2 scientists have been busy investigating! 🔬

We dissected seeds, explored what was inside and set up experiments to investigate germination.

Lots of fantastic questioning, predicting and scientific thinking! 🧠🌱
