Mrs Smith, what can we say? You are incredible and we will miss you immensely. We had to finish off your last day with a huge hug because you are the best at them! We love you Mrs Smith - don't get too comfy at home though, we'll still need you to pop in from time to time to help out (or bring us buns).

As we celebrate the end of another school year, we also say a heartfelt farewell to the truly wonderful Mrs Smith, who retires after more than 28 years of dedicated service. Throughout her time at Wellgate, Mrs Smith has touched the lives of countless pupils, past and present, with her kindness, patience and unwavering care. Her thoughtful nature, warm smile and ability to make every child feel valued have left a lasting impression on generations of families. She has been an integral part of our school community, and while her retirement is richly deserved, she will be deeply missed by everyone who has had the privilege of working with or learning from her.

We are also delighted to celebrate the remarkable dedication of Mrs Alvarez, Mrs Joyner and Mr Slater, who have each been recognised with a Long Service Award after more than 25 years at Wellgate. Their commitment, hard work and unwavering support have made an extraordinary difference to our school community. Whether caring for our pupils, supporting colleagues or ensuring our school runs smoothly every day, the impact they have had—and continue to have—is truly phenomenal. We are incredibly grateful for their years of service and everything they do for our school.

Finally, we would like to also extend our sincere thanks and best wishes to Miss Jarimba and Mrs Dixon, who are both leaving our school after supporting and inspiring so many children throughout their time with us. Their dedication, compassion and commitment have helped countless pupils to grow in confidence, overcome challenges and achieve their very best. We wish them every happiness and success in the future.

🎉 6FM - attendance reward 🎉

Today was 6FM's final day at primary school, and what a lovely way to mark the occasion together. ❤️

After achieving the highest class attendance in school this year, the children enjoyed a well-earned celebration with popcorn, crisps, chocolate and drinks before spending one last playtime together outside in the sunshine. 🍫🍿🥤

A huge thank you to Asda who donated the treats. We're so grateful for your generosity. It was very much appreciated!

Year 5 had an amazing day yesterday celebrating their graduation. Thank you to all of the adults that came to support and celebrate with us.

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their Graduation ceremony this morning - thank you to everyone who came and made it so special.

🌟 What a fantastic transition for the children in 3JBA as they prepared for their exciting move to 4MH🌟

They enjoyed a range of creative and inspiring activities, including Van Gogh-inspired sunflower paintings, creating their own versions of the *That's Not My...* books, inventing like Leonora Bolt, and so much more.

We are so proud of how enthusiastically they embraced these transition days and can't wait to see them continue to shine in Year 4. We can’t wait to get started again in September! 💛🌻📚✨
