🗣️ ELSH Word of the Week: CHUFFED (Adjective)

If you are living in Barnsley, you will hear this word a lot! "Chuffed" is a British slang word that means very pleased, happy, or proud.

Example: "I passed my English exam today, I am absolutely chuffed!" 🎉

From Afghanistan to the Royal Mail! 📮✨ We could not be prouder to share this incredible success story!

After moving to Barnsley from Afghanistan in 2024, she joined ELSH as a learner to build her confidence. She quickly became an invaluable part of our team, giving back as an Admin Volunteer.

But she didn't stop there! 📚 She dedicated herself to upskilling at Barnsley College, successfully smashing her courses in:
✅ ESOL
✅ Health & Child Care
✅ IT

All of her immense hard work, resilience, and dedication have officially paid off she has just secured a fantastic new role as a Customer Service Adviser for the Royal Mail! 📬🎉
