📚✨ Level 5 Workshop Day 2 ✨📚

This week, our apprentices explored how developmental stages shape learning, behaviour and engagement 🧠

From Piaget and Vygotsky to Bandura and Deci & Ryan, apprentices connected key learning theories to real classroom practice - developing their understanding of how we:

✔️ Adapt teaching strategies
✔️ Scaffold learning
✔️ Support pupils at different stages
✔️ Create inclusive and responsive learning environments

👀 Next up… apprentices will take part in one of their first school visits, seeing these theories brought to life in real classrooms as part of their apprenticeship journey.

🌟 There are so many talented people working with children and young people in and around our schools.

Often they are highly-skilled, passionate and motivated, but lack pathways for progression.

As a facilitator, you’ll support adult learners to build confidence, develop skills and progress in their careers - extending your impact far beyond your own organisation. This role can be undertaken alongside your current position, allowing you to share your expertise while continuing in your existing role.

📚 Last week, our first Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship session focused on professional roles, responsibilities and ethical practice – with safeguarding at the heart of everything we do.

During the session, apprentices explored how clear expectations and effective safeguarding practice are central to protecting learners’ safety and wellbeing. This helped them feel confident in navigating their professional duties and contributing to safe, responsible learning environments.
