Ruby has shown dedication, passion, and commitment throughout her apprenticeship, consistently demonstrating the skills and knowledge needed to provide outstanding care and education for young children.

This is a fantastic accomplishment and a true reflection of all the hard work she has put in. We couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved and are excited to see her continue to flourish in her career.

Our toddler room set-up this morning might look a little bit crazy, but every area has been carefully planned with our curriculum and learning intentions in mind! 🌟

This week, our main focus is learning about prepositions while encouraging even more curiosity and wonder in the children's learning.
You might hear questions such as:
🐄 "Why has Sian put the cows upside down?"
🤔 "Where has that toy gone?"
👀 "What can you see under the table?"

By creating unusual and thought-provoking scenarios, we encourage children to explore, question, and develop their understanding of positional language such as on, under, behind, next to, and inside.

Why not continue the learning at home?
Ask your little ones where their favourite toy is. Is it under the table? On their bed? Behind the sofa?
We'd love to hear some of the wonderful answers they come up with! 💛

Nursery Cook – Term Time Only

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Cook to prepare healthy, nutritious meals for our children in a warm and welcoming nursery environment.

Position: Nursery Cook
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term Time Only
Location: Little Roos Private Nursery
Either 1 position - full time.
or
2 positions- part time.

About the Role:
As our Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for planning and preparing balanced meals and snacks that meet the nutritional needs of young children. You will ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years.
Managing dietary requirements, allergies, and special nutritional needs.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen.
Ordering and managing food supplies within budget.
Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Keeping accurate records relating to food preparation and kitchen safety.
What We're Looking For
Previous cooking experience, ideally within a nursery, school, care, or catering setting.
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or willingness to obtain).
Good understanding of children's nutritional requirements.
Organised, dependable, and able to work independently.
A positive and friendly approach.

Today our preschool children are setting off on an exciting journey to Costa del Roos! They are about to climb aboard their ship and head out on a special treasure hunt across the ocean.

The children have worked incredibly hard to prepare their ship and get everything ready for their voyage. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork have helped bring this exciting adventure to life.

We are looking forward to seeing where their imaginations take them as they explore, discover hidden treasures, and enjoy a day full of fun and learning.

We are delighted to announce that we have spaces available for children starting in September 2026 and January 2027!

• Spaces are available for children aged 3 months to 18 months (as of their start date).

•We offer show arounds every day, Monday to Friday, so families can come and see our lovely nursery environment and meet the team.

•Nursery opening hours:
Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 6:00pm

•Government funding can be applied to sessions between 7:30am and 5:30pm.
