Hola! What a wonderful Spanish day Year 3 have had!
First thing you need when travelling to Spain is a passport, so the children created their own passports and made it through border control 😂
The children then created sunrise skewers, learnt lots of new Spanish vocabulary and ended the day trying a traditional Spanish snack Pa amb tomàquet (Which the children absolutely loved and requested extras of!) and had a go at some flamenco dances. 💃💃

🏆🥇 WE DID IT! SCHOOL GAMES MARK GOLD! 🥇🏆

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our school has achieved the School Games Mark Gold Award for 2025/2026! 🎉

This is a fantastic achievement and recognises the commitment, enthusiasm and passion shown across our whole school community for sport and physical activity. ⚽🏀🏃‍♀️🏅

A HUGE thank you to our amazing staff for supporting and encouraging our children, to our brilliant children for their enthusiasm, teamwork and determination, and to our wonderful families for your continued support and encouragement. ❤️

But today, we want to give a VERY special shout-out to our incredible sports coaches, Mr Hood and Mr Crouch! 👏👏

Your dedication, energy and enthusiasm have helped create so many opportunities for our children to get involved in sport, develop their skills, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun! 🌟

This Gold Award is something our whole school can be incredibly proud of — and Mr Hood and Mr Crouch, you deserve a huge celebration! 🥇🎉

Thank you for everything you do! 💙💛

Starting tomorrow! Enrichment Mondays at Sandhill! 🌟

Every Monday from 2:00–3:00pm, our children in Years 1–6 will have the chance to choose from a fantastic range of activities — from art, sewing and sports to podcasting, drama, Mandarin and woodland adventures!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore new interests, build confidence, develop skills and make friends. 💛

Reception children will join Enrichment Mondays in the spring, once they have had time to settle into their new class.

New experiences. Brighter learners. Happier minds. 🌈

🇪🇸 ¡Hola! We’re excited to be celebrating European Day of Languages on Wednesday 23rd September!

This year, we’ll be exploring the language, culture and traditions of Spain through fun activities across school.

Children are invited to come to school in non-uniform wearing red, yellow or orange to join in with the celebrations.

Wake up Wednesday is going to feel extra colourful this week! 💃🏻 🇪🇸
