Lovely morning feeding the ducks at Dearne Valley park 🦆🦆🦆
Some of the best activities are the ones that don't require planning, just lovely weather and the curiosity of children!!
We met some lovely dog walkers and fishermen who had nothing but lovely comments about the children's wonderful manners and behaviour.

(It's been a busy day getting ready for the new academic year and new starters from tomorrow)

Happy Birthday to Little Treasures Childminding 🎉🎉🎉

15 years since I opened my doors to my first mindee, and it's absolutely flown ❤
I've had the absolute pleasure of caring for some of the most amazing children and their families. I've done short term emergency care, newborn care (youngest was only 3 days old 👣) provided short breaks for children with SEN, Early Years provision and before/after school. I've been blessed with each and every child that has walked through my setting doors ✨️ Some families have returned with younger siblings too which has been fabulous!!
Many of the families have become good friends and I count myself lucky to have been part of each and every child's journey, however big or small 🥰

Happy 15th Birthday 🎂 🥳

Today we've said another 'Goodbye' to one of our Little Treasures 👋🏻😪
What an amazing journey this young man has been on, i know he's going to thrive in nursery and have an amazing time 💗
These children become a part of the family, it really is hard to see them go!!
We have 2 new little ones joining our gang next week. Looking forward to seeing new friendships flourish ✨️

We couldn't let the day go by without doing some learning about the Eclipse that will occur in the sky this evening! 🌑
The next one will be in 2090, these children will be in their 60's and if im still around I'll be 108, bless my little heart 😆🤣

The most beautiful view to wake up to every day 😍
I've had the most relaxing 2 weeks away in Devon and my batteries are well and truly charged ☀️
Can't wait to see my 'Little Treasures' back at setting from tomorrow ###

Oh my goodness, what an emotional week 😭

This week we have said goodbye to 2 of our 'Little Treasures' 😪 who i have had the absolute pleasure of caring for since they were babies!! Both of these children absolutely blow me away, they are both so kind, so caring, funny and the loveliest of friends to everyone 🥰 we are really going to miss you both and you are a credit to your mums & dad's 💓

Thank you so much for my beautiful gifts and cards, but more importantly, thank you for allowing me to be a part of their early years journey ###x

Shining a light on Barnsley’s SEND Stars - nominations are now open for Barnsley’s SEND Awards 2026!

Our Disabled Children’s Service is delighted to be hosting Barnsley’s SEND Awards this year - a special celebration of the achievements, progress and successes of children and young people in Barnsley with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the incredible adults who support them.

SEND Stars can be nominated across a wide range of categories, recognising their unique journey, along with the incredible adults who deserve recognition for the vital role they play.

Nominations close on 14 August
