♻️🌍 Recycling and Love Our Planet Week 🌍♻️
This week we have been learning all about recycling and how we can help to look after our planet. ❤️
Patty River stones childcare set up some wonderful hands-on learning experiences for the children to explore recycling in a fun and meaningful way. Throughout the week, we decided to make our own paper using old paper rolls and egg boxes. The children used their little fingers to tear the materials into small pieces before soaking and blending them to create paper pulp. We then formed a large sheet of paper and have been patiently waiting for it to dry. 😊
We spent time talking about what recycling is, why it is important, and how it helps our environment. The children enjoyed sorting different types of rubbish into the correct recycling containers, and it was amazing to see how confidently they recognised different materials and knew where they belonged.
As part of our learning, we also explored why trees are so important to our planet. The children learned how trees help to clean the air, provide homes for animals and insects, and give us the oxygen we need to breathe. 🌳💚 To extend this learning, the children had lots of messy sensory fun playing with our foamy tree activity.
To finish off our recycling week, we watched and waved to the bin men as they collected the recycling. The children were excited to see real-life recycling in action and enjoyed thanking them for the important job they do. 👋🚛♻️
At the end of the week, all of the children were very proud to receive their recycling badges to celebrate everything they had learned about caring for our environment. 🏅

Our team consists of 3 childminders and 1 assistant. One of our childminders is fluent in both Polish and English.
We provide a caring and supportive environment that feels like home, where young children can learn, have fun, and prepare for big school. -Hourly rate: £7.00 per hour (8am-4pm)
-Daily rate: £45per day (8hr)
-My out of hours rate is applied for sessions that last more than 8 hours. (£8.50)
-My out of hours rate is £8.50 (6am-8am & 4pm-6pm)
-Late pick-up fee: £5 per 15 minutes
-School drop off

I’m Rebecca, and I have been a Childminding Assistant at BuzyBumlzz since 2022. I’m delighted to share that I have now received my full registration and will be co-childminding alongside the lovely Sarah at BuzyBumlzz.
From September 2026, I will be welcoming new children into our setting.
Supporting children as they learn, grow, and develop has been an incredibly rewarding experience and has given me the confidence and motivation to take this exciting next step in my childcare career. I am grateful for the knowledge and experience I have gained since beginning my childcare journey in 2022, and I look forward to continuing to provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
I’m excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to welcoming both new and existing families to our setting. 🥰🐝

Morning everyone, today there is a funeral leaving from a house on my street. We kindly ask that anyone starting after 8 AM to park down the road and walk up to help prevent any unnecessary upset or delays for the family. Thank you for your understanding and compassion. ❤️
Biggest of thank yous to my wonderful team for pitching in today with the deep clean of our outdoor space and sheds! Every resource, fixture, and soft furnishing has been sanitised today to help stop the spread of this HFM. Without their help, I don't know what I would do 🥰❤️

Patty started with us as a volunteer two days a week, and her dedication and genuine love for working with children truly touched our hearts. Recognizing her passion, I offered her a permanent position within the BuzyBumblzz family. She is a cherished team member who continually seeks to grow and improve in order to provide the best possible care for children. Last year, she became a qualified childminder, and now she is fully ready to confidently run her own space. I am immensely proud of her journey, and I sincerely believe she will bring warmth, joy, and exceptional care to your little ones. She has openings in September—don't miss out! If your child has a fever you must keep them at home to help stop any germs from spreading. Your child can come back once they've been fever-free without Calpol for 24 hours.
