The Sport and Physical Activity team at Barnsley Council are hosting a 'World Cup Trail' on the following dates:

Tuesday 16th June, 3:30pm-5pm at Locke Park
Tuesday 23rd June, 3:30pm-5pm at Mapplewell Park

They're both going to be a football themed adventure, full of fun activities for the children and their families to complete.

This morning, Willow and Elm Class became tree explorers! 🌳

The children worked hard identifying different trees by examining the leaves they produce. They enjoyed investigating a variety of leaf shapes and patterns, using their observation skills to match leaves to their trees.

The class also had a go at creating leaf and tree bark rubbings, discovering the different textures found in nature. To finish, the children spent some time looking up at the leaves gently blowing in the breeze, noticing how they moved and listening to the sounds they made.

It was a wonderful morning of outdoor learning, exploration, and discovery. 🍃🍂🌿

Maple have started this half terms science topic. We will be studying plants and have decided to grow some grass of our own. Will we have green fingers? 🌱🌱🌱
