I am so proud of Reception class who have had an AMAZING first full day at school. From joining in with Squiggle Whilst you Wiggle, having snack time, receiving a new class story book from the reading fairy, having lunch in the big hall, playing outside with the other classes, having milk and spending time getting to know each other within the classroom provision. Year 5 began their ‘Properties of Materials’ topic in Science yesterday. We made predictions and observations about adding raisins to lemonade. We were excited to see them bouncing up and down to the surface and shared our scientific knowledge about why this happened.

Year 2 have settled into their new classroom and enjoyed lots of new learning this week. We have loved exploring the paints and learning more about primary colours in art. In PE we have been working on our overarm throwing skills and in science we went on a material hunt 🔍 In maths we started our place value unit, learning more about tens and ones. An excellent start to year 2, we’re so proud of how well you have settled back into school 🦉⭐️

Year 5 had a great start to the year. Our highlight of the day was our group challenge to make the longest paper chain from a single sheet of paper. We saw great teamwork and some were even taller than the adults!
