Year 3 have made these amazing mosaics out of clay in recent weeks. Also, they have enjoyed painting their mosaics this afternoon in Art and Design.

In Year 1, the children have been focussing on their handwriting and presentation. Rowan has been amazing this week and has won the Year 1 Handwriter of the Week. Well done to all the children for working so hard on their presentation this week.

Today, our Reception children visited Briercliffe Lodge Care Home. The children and residents played games and sang songs together. It was a lovely afternoon and huge thanks to everyone at Briercliffe Lodge Care Home for making our children and staff feel so welcome :-)

During their maths automaticity session today, Year 4 practiced the skill of counting up to solve subtraction questions. They discussed their strategies, applied them well and then used this skill when they moved on to look at perimeter in the main part of their lesson.

Yesterday, Year 2 children visited the beautiful Ghyll Church to enhance their understanding of their recent RE unit of learning. They learnt all about the different parts of the church. Thank you so much to Barlick Bracewell Parishes for making our visit so special :-)

Well done to the 20 children who took part in Wheelie Wednesday this morning! You have all earnt a raffle ticket for the end of term prize draw :-)
