Happy Easter everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your holiday and of course your revision!
Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Friday 21st for some exam preparation 😊......not long now!
Evening all!
Well done for yesterday's lesson. It's going to get a little busy, but preparation is key (especially for learning what to put in your PEP!)
So can you remember the 2 principles of training, what they stand for and how you link them to your sport?
What does SMART stand for?? All 3 things are very important!!
See you tomorrow.
Mr Collyer
Morning all,
I hope this message finds you all well and you're enjoying your holidays.
Just a quick reminder about the work you should be completing over the summer break. Please bring your answer sheets with you to the 1st lesson back. We can have a chat about your experiences.
In 2 days time the Year 11 students will be picking up their GCSE results. I'm excited but nervous for them.
Let's make sure that we hit the ground running when we get back, in order to give yourselves the best chance of achieving the highest grades possible next year! Remember......we are all aiming for A*!!
See you all soon!

Hi all,
I hope you're all enjoying the summer holidays so far. Just a quick reminder about your work for over the summer break. You need to read through the Health and Fitness pages in your text books, as well as complete a past paper of your choice (over a time frame of your choice) These can be found on the link I gave you all before we broke up, or you can access them via this link -

Remember to bring your answer sheets with you to class.
Have a great break!

Well done today, it was a lot of info to take in!
The main objectives-
1) What is a balanced diet and what are the 7 nutrients?
2) What are the two types of carbohydrate and can you give an example for each?
3) What are micronutrients and macronutrients?
We will recap tomorrow!!
Morning all!! I hope you're all having a restful half term!
Some key things for you to be thinking about in preparation for your mock exam:
1) Short and Long term effects on the body's systems (MS, SS, RS, CV and optimum weights etc)
2) Do you the know differences, positive and negative effects and reasons for taking performance enhancing drugs??
Enjoy the sunshine!!

Morning everybody! I've just found this excellent video that will help you revise everything we have studied over the past few lessons. Try to remember the following things:
What is a somatotype? How are each of them different? What is optimum weight? What affects optimum weight (4/5 factors)?
