We have an opening for an Epic Guitar Teacher to join the music team at the Hub!

The position is self employed, giving you the freedom to choose when you teach but with the knowledge that your clients will be taught in an established venue with parking, waiting areas and the opportunity to mix with other musicians. Our practice room rental rates are really reasonable to enable you to build your business and make a profit whilst working within a friendly and welcoming team of teachers.

Welcome to the Mini Meet, Barnard Castle's homemade, upcycled parade 2021!

The Meet, as it is known locally, has grown from the North East Cyclists' Meet dating back to 1885, and since the early 1900s the town has staged a carnival and grand procession through the town centre on bank holiday Monday.

As it was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic, we wanted to help our community mark the occasion by creating something special together and also to share memories from years gone by. And this is the result.... a handmade parade with a film to share it with the world.... and we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!

We dedicate this film to Pamela Dixon and all those who have made Barnard Castle Meet a wonderful community event and great fun in years gone by.

It has been great welcoming our students back to face to face lessons this week. We have been getting quite a few questions about recordings and band practices. In line with government guidelines we can (as of Monday) offer recordings and band practices to people from the same household, individual bookings and professional musicians. Then, provided the government roadmap stays on track, from the 17th of May we can offer a space for up to six musicians to practice together. The final milestone should be June 21st where we will be able to lift restrictions on numbers.
