Today we were very excited to receive our very first delivery of fresh fruit and veg from Abis Crop Shop!
We were amazed at the size and the quality of the produce from Abi and we can’t wait to see what she delivers to us next!

Today was a very exciting day at nursery.

We learnt all about a very special man called Sir David Attenborough and he was turning 100 today! We talked about what he has done to help save the planet over his wonderful long life, and what we can do to continue his amazing legacy.

We watched videos on the IPad showing us Sir David and all the animals he has worked with, we sang Happy Birthday to him at snack time and we carefully and gently explored outside to see what Marvellous Mini beasts we could find in his honour!
We went bird spotting too, as well as enjoying an array of activities all about animals and the planet.
There were lots of beautiful conversations between staff and children about how we need to be kind and gentle to all living things. I think Sir David would have been very proud of much our children expressed a love and a keen interest for the natural world they live in.

Happy Birthday Sir David Attenborough! We hope you had the best birthday and if we all grow up to care about the world like you do, then the world is going to be a better place! 🌍 ❤️

Did you know… We enjoy weekly PE sessions in the Masonic Hall!

Our friends at the Masonic Hall in Middleton very kindly let us use the hall twice a week, giving us the opportunity to take part in some physical activities, helping us to develop our balance, coordination and gross motor skills.
These are all key skills needed to become confident movers as well as being the foundation for enabling us to sit and hold a pencil and start to write! We have to master the big movements before we can begin to focus on the smaller, more intricate movements!
